ORWIGSBURG - A West Penn Township man did not appear Tuesday for his preliminary hearing on a charge that he received $250 worth of stolen tools last August.
David T. Osenbach, 30, of 12 Log Lane, New Ringgold, must defend against a charge of receiving stolen property, which Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier ordered held for court after the hearing that Osenbach did not attend.
Ferrier also revoked Osenbach's $2,500 unsecured bail and asked Schuylkill County Court to issue a bench warrant for the defendant.
State police at Frackville charged Osenbach with receiving tools at 11 p.m. Aug. 9, 2011, at Dorset Road and Blue Mountain Drive in West Penn Township.
Some of the tools, including a gas can, hand saw, hammer, two pry bars, an orange funnel, bolt cutters, two metal clamps and a rake, had been stolen from J.C. Hill Tree Farms Inc., 123 W. Rausch's Road, East Brunswick Township, police said.
Police said the rest of the tools, including plastic ties, five screwdrivers, a volt tester, pipe wrench and a roll of duct tape, had been stolen from one of Hill's employees.

Tobi A. Matz, 30, of 136 Center Ave., Schuylkill Haven; possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.
