Suspects needed in burglary at Walker Township gun club

TAMAQUA - Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers and state police at Frackville are asking for the public's help in finding the person or persons responsible for a burglary and theft that occurred earlier this month.

Police said the burglary occurred at the Wildcat Gun Club Inc., 137 Wildcat Road, Walker Township, between 9 a.m. Dec. 24 and 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said someone forced their way through the door on the south side of a cabin and removed two beige-colored kerosene heaters, a blue 1,000 watt generator, two steel pool pumps, about eight to 10 garbage bags of crushed aluminum cans, a 2 1/2 gallon clear fuel can, an aluminum roof antenna and various lengths of electrical wire.

The thief or thieves then fled the area undetected, police said.

Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information on the person or persons responsible for this burglary or on any other unsolved crime in Schuylkill County.

Callers are asked to refer to incident 01-01-12 when calling with information on theft from the Walker Township gun club.

Individuals with information can also contact state police at Frackville directly at 570-874-5300.
