The Pottsville Republican Committee held its reorganizational meeting Monday night and elected its officers for the next two years, according to Scott Thomas, a member of the Republican State Committee of Pennsylvania and a committeeperson in Pottsville.
The committee re-elected Ron Downey as party chairman. Members unanimously elected Scott R. Fellows as vice chairman, Bob Thomas as treasurer and Kim Henry as secretary, according to Scott Thomas.
"But the resounding message was to work together towards the November election and to help defeat Barack Obama, as well as electing Republican office holders throughout the state and local level," Thomas said Tuesday.
