Driver not injured in 2-vehicle crash
TUSCARORA - A pregnant MaryD woman was transported by EMS following a two-vehicle crash at 9:50 p.m. Saturday at Route 209 and Catawissa Road in Schuylkill Township.
State police at Frackville said they came upon the crash while on patrol and found a 2006 Scion TC, driven by a 16-year-old boy from Tamaqua, in the southbound lane of Route 209 with smoke coming from the engine.
The vehicle had heavy front end damage, police said.
A Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Melanie Mae Kline, 27, of MaryD, was partially over the embankment on the north side of Route 209, police said.
A fire broke out from the Scion's engine and police were able to extinguish it with a fire extinguisher, police said.
After investigating, police learned that Kline was traveling south on Route 209 approaching Catawissa Street when the 16-year-old pulled onto Route 209 into her path, police said.
She was unable to avoid the other vehicle, police said.
After impact, Kline traveled 75 feet and struck a tree, police said.
Kline was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, to be evaluated, police said.
The other driver was not injured and charges will be filed against him for a stop sign violation, police said.
Pool damaged in Girardville
GIRARDVILLE - State police at Frackville are investigating damage to a pool liner that occurred between 4:30 p.m. Friday and 9:50 a.m. Saturday at 357 Preston Ave.
Police said the incident occurred as someone arrived at the home of Cindy Donmoyer and threw a set of garden lights, an oil lamp and a pair of sneakers into her pool, causing damage to the liner, then fled the scene.

Man charged with trespassing
GILBERTON - An Ashland man was charged with criminal trespassing following an incident at 11:20 a.m. Saturday at 2506 Water St.
State police at Frackville said the incident occurred as Michael McGinley, 30, of Chestnut Street, Ashland, arrived at the home of Susan McGinley, 57, and Michael McGinley, 57, both of 2506 Water St., Girardville, and attempted to enter.
McGinley was told he was not welcome and should leave. He then pulled a screen off of a window and kicked a door to gain entry, police said.
Once inside he also threw a water bottle at one of the victims, police said.
McGinley was taken into custody at the scene and was later arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David A. Platchko, Port Carbon, via video arraignment at Schuylkill County Prison.
Bail was set at $25,000, which he was unable to post and remained at the prison.
Man charged with harassment
NEW RINGGOLD - A New Ringgold man was charged with harassment, following an incident at 5 p.m. Friday at the Mini-Mart parking lot.
State police at Frackville said Samuel Miller III, 23, and Nathan Karl Fisher, 25, of New Ringgold, were involved in an argument regarding how much money they were exchanging.
The argument became physical when Miller punched Fisher once in the right eye, causing a laceration and swelling, police said.
Charges were filed against Miller at the Orwigsburg District Court.
Police collect detonator box
TAMAQUA - State police at Frackville were called to the Tamaqua Flying Club, Old Route 209, at 8 p.m. Aug. 27 for a detonator box that was located on the property.
Police took the box and said the owner can claim it by contacting state police at Frackville at 570-874-5300.
Woman charged; Underage drinking
FORESTVILLE - A Pottsville woman was charged with underage drinking following an incident at 1:15 a.m. Sunday at 5 Deer Lane in Cass Township.
State police at Frackville said Stephanie Yalsovec, 20, was discovered asleep in the passenger seat of a vehicle parked in the driveway.
She was determined to be intoxicated, police said.
Yalsovec was transported to her home and the vehicle was towed, police said.
Police probe damaged vehicle
WILLIAMSTOWN - State police at Lykens are investigating damage to a vehicle that occurred between 11 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 a.m. Friday at 312 E. Spruce St.
Police said the tire on a vehicle belonging to Richard Charles Shupp, Williamstown, was damaged.

Police investigate slashed pool
WICONISCO - State police at Lykens are investigating damage to a swimming pool that occurred between 5:30 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday at 417 Pottsville St.
Police said that someone slashed a swimming pool belonging to Melissa Marie Hite.

Haven man escapes injury
HAMBURG - A Schuylkill Haven man escaped injury following a one-vehicle crash at 12:48 p.m. Sunday on Route 183 near Route 419 in Bethel Township.
State police at Hamburg said the incident occurred as a 2005 Toyota Tundra, driven by Craig A. Bixler, 49, of Schuylkill Haven, was traveling north on Route 183.
Bixler lost control on a wet and oily road and struck a rock embankment on the east shoulder with its front end, police said.
Bixler was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt, police said.
There were no charges, police said.
Assisting at the scene were Union Fire Company and Bethel Ambulance.
Tractor batteries reported stolen
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN- State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of truck tractor batteries that occurred between July 15 and Aug. 22 at Otto's Amusements, Keystoker Lane, North Manheim Township.
Police said the suspects removed 13 truck tractor batteries from abandoned vehicles on the property.

Pine Grove woman charged with DUI
PINE GROVE - A Pine Grove woman faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance following an incident at 2:06 p.m. Saturday at Sweet Arrow Lake Road and Wolfe's Road in Washington Township.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said that Sheena Marie Kimmel, 27, was stopped for speeding on Sweet Arrow Lake Road and was determined to be under the influence of narcotics.
Kimmel was taken into custody and transported to Scuhylkill Medical Center, where she submitted to a chemical blood test, police said.
Charges will be filed with the office of Magisterial District Judge Carol A. Pankake, Tremont, pending lab results.
Dirt bike taken from garage
GIRARDVILLE - State police at Frackville are investigating a burglary that occurred between 10 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 a.m. Sunday at 357 Preston Ave.
Police said the incident occurred as a suspect entered the home of Jerry Donmoyer, 48, of Girardville, by removing a hinge on the basement garage door.
The suspect gained entry and removed an orange and white 1990 Honda XR 80, then fled, police said.

Police probe missing Visa card
HAMBURG - A suspect obtained an ATM/Visa card and made various purchases Friday between 10:26 a.m. and 11:01 p.m.
Police said the card belonging to Jody F. Wasilko, 49, of Hamburg, was used in various locations in North Manheim Township and Bethel Township, Berks County.
An investigation is continuing, police said.
