Schuylkill County prosecutors on Monday dropped a retail theft charge they had filed against a Schuylkill Haven woman as a result of an alleged February 2011 incident.

Karen M. Myers, 48, had been charged by Saint Clair police with committing the theft on Feb. 12, 2011, in the borough.

President Judge William E. Baldwin signed an order allowing prosecutors to drop the charge against Myers and directing the county to pay the costs of the case.

Also on Monday, Judge Jacqueline L. Russell ordered Jose F. Cabrera Jr., 20, of Pottsville, returned to prison until at least the middle of January after revoking Cabrera's parole for a second time.

"I know I did that. I was wrong," Cabrera admitted.

Cabrera originally pleaded guilty on Aug. 26, 2010, to criminal mischief. At that time, Russell sentenced him to serve 68 days to 23 months in prison, pay costs and $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account and perform 20 hours community service; Cabrera still must pay those amounts and perform the service under Russell's new order.

Pottsville police charged Cabrera with committing his crime on Feb. 20, 2010, in the city.

Russell first revoked Cabrera's parole on May 19, 2011.

Under the terms of Russell's new order, Cabrera must remain in prison until Jan. 17, 2013, before applying for parole again, and could stay behind bars until Oct. 21, 2013.
