Nativity

Kelly A. Brensinger, a senior at Nativity BVM High School, has been awarded a full tuition scholarship to attend the Pre-College Saturday School at the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, for the spring semester.

The 10-session program offers college level courses designed for students in grades 9 through 12 who demonstrate talent, commitment and responsibility. Courses in crafts, design, fine arts, media, performing arts and writing are offered.

Kelly is enrolled in a drawing course that will work from still life, models and landscapes.

She is a daughter of Roger and Heather Brensinger, Cressona.

Milton Hershey

Nora Long, daughter of Calvin Long, Auburn, was one of 13 Milton Hershey School® students inducted into the National Honor Society.

A senior at Milton Hershey School, Nora is a member of the praise, marching and concert bands, guitar ensemble, varsity choir, the New Horizons vocal ensemble, and mock trial. She is also enrolled in AP classes at Lebanon Valley College, Annville.

St. Ambrose

Anne Curry, principal of St. Ambrose School, Schuyl-kill Haven, announced that the school received the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance grant. The $500 grant will be used to acquire science equipment to complement the school's new science texts, Interactive Science for Middle Schools.

The award was made possible by Lehigh Gas Corp. and the Tiger Den 61, Schuylkill Haven.
