A Berks County man is headed to state prison after recently admitting in Schuylkill County Court that he broke into a building in October 2011 in Port Clinton.
John C. Trabosh IV, 37, of Mohrsville, must serve 15 to 30 months in a state correctional institution under the terms of Judge Jacqueline L. Russell's sentence.
Russell also sentenced Trabosh to pay costs and $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account and submit a DNA sample to law enforcement authorities.
Trabosh pleaded guilty to burglary, with prosecutors withdrawing charges of criminal trespass and theft.
State police at Schuylkill Haven alleged that Trabosh broke into the 107 Center Ave. home of Timothy Naftzinger between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 13, 2011, by entering through a rear window.
Under questioning, Trabosh admitted committing the burglary, according to police.
Trabosh's co-defendant, Michelle L. Dalessandro, 37, of Mohrsville, also recently pleaded guilty to burglary and theft in connection with the same incident, with prosecutors withdrawing a charge of criminal trespass. Russell also accepted her plea and sentenced her to serve eight to 23 months in a state correctional institution consecutive to a Berks County sentence.
Other defendants who recently pleaded guilty before Russell, the crimes they admitted committing and the sentences the judge imposed on them included:
Jason G. Boyer, 38, of Auburn; harassment; $300 fine. Prosecutors withdrew a charge of simple assault.
Brian L. Brobst, 30, of Auburn; criminal mischief; 17 days to 12 months in prison with immediate parole, $50 CJEA payment and $472.23 restitution. Prosecutors withdrew charges of burglary, theft and receiving stolen property.
Diane Kashuba-Montelius, 42, of Albrightsville; no contest plea to false or fraudulent medical assistance claim, submitting claim for services not rendered, forgery and theft by deception; 12 months probation, $50 CJEA payment, $1,825.25 restitution and submission of a DNA sample to law enforcement authorities.
Mark J. Schriner Sr., 48, of Beavertown; theft by deception, receiving stolen property, possession of a small amount of marijuana and public drunkenness; 12 months probation, $100 fine, $100 payment to the Substance Abuse Education Fund, $50 CJEA payment and $404 restitution.
Joseph W. Skymba, 25, of Grantville; receiving stolen property and conspiracy; one to two years in a state correctional institution, $50 CJEA payment and submission of a DNA sample to law enforcement authorities. Prosecutors withdrew a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Andrew J. Svrcek, 42, of Orwigsburg; simple assault; 12 months probation, $50 CJEA payment, $311.52 restitution and drug and alcohol evaluation. Prosecutors withdrew a second charge of simple assault and additional charges of terroristic threats and harassment.
David W. Swank, 62, of Ephrata; 19 counts of bad checks; 23 months probation, $50 CJEA payment and $40,000 restitution.
Matthew Werthwine, 34, of Shenandoah; fraudulent, altered, forged or counterfeit documents and driving without a license; 23 months in the intermediate punishment program, $200 in fines and $50 CJEA payment. Prosecutors withdrew a charge of no headlights.
Eric S. Youngkin, 41, of Easton; criminal mischief; 12 months probation and $1,813 restitution. Prosecutors withdrew charges of conspiracy, attempted theft, possessing instrument of crime and defiant trespass.
All defendants who were sentenced must pay costs as a part of their sentences.
