NEW RINGGOLD - State police at Frackville are investigating a theft that occurred at a white barn located at Route 443 and Pine Creek Road in East Brunswick Township between 3 p.m. Nov. 1 and 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police said Glen A. Korell, 102 Country View Lane, Orwigsburg, said someone stole a yellow 1990s model 6-cubic-foot tow-along cement mixer from the property.
The mixer was manufactured by Stone and has a single axle and a Pintle hitch and contains an 8 hp Honda gas engine, police said.

Woman missing
in Butler Twp.
FOUNTAIN SPRINGS - State police at Frackville are looking for a woman who escaped from the Gaudenzia New Destiny Half-Way House in Butler Township about 1 p.m. Monday.
Police said Heather Ann Pickering, 24, of Ashland, was taken to a location for her shift as part of a work release program but failed to return to the Gaudenzia facility later that evening as required.
The woman is described as being 5-feet 3-inches tall, about 140 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes, police said, adding that she was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white shirt.

Hamburg woman
faces DUI charge
CLEONA - A 23-year-old Hamburg woman was charged with DUI by state police at Jonestown after a traffic stop at Route 422 and Mill Street in this Lebanon County community about 2:55 a.m. Saturday.
Police said Karenna K. Klahr will have to answer to the charge in a Lebanon County district court.
Police said they stopped a vehicle driven by Klahr after seeing her go through a red light and found her to be under the influence.
The woman was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, where a blood test determined her alcohol was above the legal limit, police said.
Truck tires cause
car to crash
PINE GROVE - Two people escaped injury when their vehicles collided on Interstate 81, at mile marker 103.5 in Pine Grove Township, at 3:02 p.m. Nov. 8.
State police at Jonestown said Paulette Gibson, 49, of Summerfield, N.C., was driving a 2005 Kenworth tractor-trailer south in the right lane when a pair of tandem wheels came off of the trailer and landed in the left lane of the road.
The woman was unaware she lost the wheels and continued south but Debbie Smith, 52, of Nescopeck, was driving a 1989 Toyota Celica south and sideswiped the wheels, causing damage to the bumper of her car, police said.
Gibson will receive a citation as a result of the crash, police said.
Tool tote taken
from Joliett man
JOLIETT - Police are investigating the theft of tools from a Jolliet man.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said a tool tote containing more than $1,600-worth of Snap-On and Craftsman tools was taken from Craig L. Romberger, at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 30.

use of vehicle
MAHANOY CITY - Police are investigating the unauthorized use of a vehicle at Granny's Motel, Altamont Boulevard, West Mahanoy Township, at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday.
State police at Frackville said Brandon Michael Bucklen, 25, of Pittsburgh, gave his keys to his silver 2004 Honda Civic to someone known only as Justin from Biloxi, Miss.
Police said Justin then used the vehicle to drive to the Harrisburg Airport without permission.

Tamaqua man
to face citation
TAMAQUA - A citation was filed against a 28-year-old Tamaqua man for an alleged assault Tuesday.
Tamaqua police said the man, Anthony Chesla, 55 Wayne Ave., owner of AAC Automotive, was involved in a scuffle at Spruce and Railroad streets with David Yanacek, 54, of Tamaqua, the property manager of the building.
Police said they were called to the address and spoke to Yanacek, who said Chesla punched him in the face., Chesla had left the scene before police arrived.
According to police, a witness confirmed Yanacek's story and added that he was having a hard time getting his car back from Chesla.
Police said Chesla will be cited for harassment.

WILLIAMSTOWN - A Williamstown woman was the victim of identity theft on Nov. 1.
State police at Lykens said someone accessed the checking account of Deann Devine and made unauthorized purchases of electronics online.
