The City of Pottsville postponed a budget workshop session scheduled Friday and is planning to hold it in the next few days, according to Julie Rescorla, city clerk said Friday, an hour before the meeting was to take place.
Mayor John D.W. Reiley has been called away to attend to a family matter and other council members were not available, Rescorla said.
The city is tentatively planning to hold the work session at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the second-floor conference room at City Hall.
The dates for other upcoming public meetings regarding the city's 2013 budget are:
- A work session at 4 p.m. Nov. 26 in the second-floor conference room at City Hall
- A meeting for the tentative adoption of the budget at 4 p.m. Nov. 29 at council chambers on the second floor of City Hall.
The council has not set the date for the final adoption of its 2013 budget, but anticipated it would be sometime in the last week of December.
