Hit-and-run

being investigated

PALO ALTO - State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred at 10 a.m. Saturday on West Bacon Street near Howard Street.

Police said a truck was traveling east on West Bacon Street when the right side of the vehicle, possibly with a snow plow, struck the driver's side mirror of a 1997 Ford F-150.

After impact, the truck continued east on West Bacon Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at Schuylkill Haven at 570-593-2000.

Registration plate

ELIZABETHVILLE - State police at Lykens are investigating the theft of a registration plate that occurred between Wednesday and Saturday at 49 S. Callowhill St.

Police said the registration plate, Pennsylvania GPY5783, was stolen off of a vehicle belonging to Jeff Alan Maurer, 42, of Elizabethville.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at Schuylkill Haven at 717-362-8700.

Police probe multi-car theft

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS - Butler Township police are investigating a theft from multiple vehicles between Friday and Saturday at Cresswell Gardens.

Police said that someone stole medical supplies, two GPS devices and a Sirius radio receiver.

All local residents are advised to lock their vehicles.
