report to fire
NEW RINGGOLD - According to initial reports, New Ringgold and West Penn fire departments were called to the scene of a fully-involved structure fire with flames showing from the roof about 8 p.m. Sunday at the West Penn Archery Club, 147 Archery Club Road.
There were no reports of entrapment.
West Penn Township Fire Chief Dennis Fritzinger said as of 10:30 p.m. that firefighters were still on the scene, and he could not comment further.
Police probe
copper theft
MAHANOY CITY - State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of copper wire that occurred between 8 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Blaschak Coal Co., 163 Delano Road.
Police said about 600 feet of electrical dragline wire was stolen from a wooden spool on the property.

Driver injured
in Rt. 61 crash
SAINT CLAIR - Hye Hillibush, 47, was transported to Schuylkill Medical Center for injuries following a one-vehicle crash at 1 p.m. Sunday on Route 61 in New Castle Township.
State police at Frackville said the crash occurred as Hillibush, driving a 2007 Jeep Liberty, was traveling south on Route 61, about a mile south of Mall Road.
Hillibush lost control while traveling around a sharp right curve in the road, struck the embankment on the right side and rolled over.
The vehicle came to a stop after striking the embankment.
Hillibush was transported to Schuylkill Medical Center for injuries and the vehicle, which had sustained moderate damage, was towed from the scene.
Woman charged
with DUI
ELIZABETHVILLE - Miranda Lynn Mauser, 31, of Elizabethville, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance following an incident at 1:41 a.m. Sunday at 253 Roller Road in Washington Township.
State police at Lykens said that they were dispatched to a domestic dispute and while on the scene, determined Mauser drove to the location while under the influence of alcohol.
Charges were filed with the office of Magisterial District Judge Rebecca J. Margerum, Elizabethville.
Police investigate
hit-and-run
ORWIGSBURG - State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a hit-and-ran that occurred between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot at Renninger's Farmers Market.
Police said a 1995 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that was parked in the lot was struck by an unknown vehicle on the passenger side by the truck bed.
