TREMONT - A Pine Grove man faces Schuylkill County Court action after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing Thursday on three charges.

Michael Betz-Coleman, 22, of 18 Beecher St., has been charged with receiving stolen property, access device fraud and identity theft. Magisterial District Judge Carol A. Pankake bound over those charges for court after Betz-Coleman waived his right to a hearing.

State police at Schuylkill Haven charged Betz-Coleman with committing those crimes on Sept. 15.

Betz-Coleman is free pending further court action after posting $5,000 bail.

Other defendants whose cases Pankake considered Thursday, the charges against each of them and the judge's dispositions of the matters included:

Cody L. Adams, 23, of 220 Market Square, Pottsville; driving under the influence, driving without a license, driving under suspension, speeding, careless driving, reckless driving and seat belt violation; right to preliminary hearing waived, careless driving charge withdrawn, other charges bound over for court.

Girard E. Daley Jr., 25, of 285 Church Road, Pottsville; DUI; charge held for court after preliminary hearing.

Kevin C. Donton Jr., 24, of 1 Second St., Joliett; possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Robert Engleman, 37, of 245 Suedberg Road, Pine Grove; theft by deception; charge withdrawn.

Ronald A. Heinbach, 65, of 904 W. Maple St., Valley View; DUI and careless driving; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Karl K. Kimmel, 33, of 61 S. Tulpehocken St. Second Floor, Pine Grove; DUI, unsafe pass on left, disregarding traffic lane, careless driving and seat belt violation; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Dusty Knoll, 23, of 74 S. Tulpehocken St. Apt. 3, Pine Grove; two counts of conspiracy and one count each of burglary, theft and attempted theft; charges withdrawn.

Timothy R. Kreiser, 23, of 100 S. Tulpehocken St. Apt. 3, Pine Grove; two counts of conspiracy and one count each of burglary, theft and attempted theft; charges withdrawn.

Ian W. Murphy, 22, of 134 Brier City Road, Pottsville; DUI, disregarding traffic lane, careless driving and seat belt violation; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

David J. Natale, 44, of 109 S. Second St., Minersville; recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and reckless driving; disorderly conduct charge moved, other charges withdrawn.

Damian M. Rothermel, 24, of 135 N. Third St., Saint Clair; simple assault and harassment; harassment charge moved, simple assault charge withdrawn.

James R. Seigfried, 22, of 275 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove; possession of a controlled substance; right to preliminary hearing waived, charge bound over for court.

PORT CARBON - A Schuylkill Haven man has a Schuylkill County Court date after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing Nov. 21 on charges stemming from an alleged assault in October in Minersville.

Adam Gamrak Jr., 31, of 112 Avenue B, must defend against charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats and criminal mischief. Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko bound over those charges for court after Gamrak waived his right to a hearing.

Minersville police alleged that Gamrak committed the assault and other crimes on Oct. 6 in the borough.

Other defendants whose cases Plachko considered Nov. 21, the charges against each of them and the judge's dispositions of the matters included:

Michael J. Adamick III, 44, of 444 Church St., Minersville; selling or furnishing liquor to a minor and disorderly conduct; charges dismissed.

Dominick S. Defrank III, 27, of 119 E. Railroad St., Saint Clair; retail theft and receiving stolen property; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Michael S. Flaugher, 37, of 437 N. Sixth St., Lebanon; theft by deception and receiving stolen property; charges held for court after preliminary hearing.

Joseph B. Franz, 25, of Pottsville; two counts of theft and one each of prohibited possession of firearm and theft by deception; right to preliminary hearing waived, firearm charge withdrawn, other charges bound over for court.

Ann Marie Ganly, 67, of 887 Ann St., Pottsville; bad checks; right to preliminary hearing waived, charge bound over for court.

Denise Halcovage, 39, of 401 Minersville St. Apt. 1, Seltzer; driving under the influence; right to preliminary hearing waived, charge bound over for court.

Kerrianne P. Hoffman, 26, of 245 Nichols St., Pottsville; retail theft and harassment; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Kay Jobrey, 48, of 330 N. Mill St., Saint Clair; theft by deception; charge dismissed.

John J. Magdeburg, 34, of 23 S. Hoffman Blvd., Ashland; resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness; charges held for court after preliminary hearing.

Christopher A. Schill, 20, of 651 Pine Hill St., Minersville; theft from a motor vehicle, theft and receiving stolen property; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Scott Schoffstall, 20, of Pottsville; two counts of receiving stolen property and one each of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, false identification to law enforcement, theft and theft by deception; right to preliminary hearing waived, one receiving stolen property, aggravated assault, theft and theft by deception charges withdrawn, other charges bound over for court.

Angel N. Tobias, 34, of 725 N. Second St., Pottsville; theft by deception, receiving stolen property and forgery; charges dismissed.

William H. Walters, 65, of 34 Courtneys Road, Pottsville; DUI and failure to keep right; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

John C. Wiley, 64 Walnut St., Cressona; bad checks; charge withdrawn.

Peter D. Witman, 20, of 2001 Fair Road, Schuylkill Haven; DUI, purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of an alcoholic beverage by a minor, disregarding traffic lane, careless driving and seat belt violation; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.
