King's

Abbey Hill and Alden Whah, both students of Marian High School, Hometown, and Elliot Phillips of North Schuylkill High School recently participated in an Accounting Career Day sponsored by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and held at King's College, Wilkes-Barre. The King's program, one of 13 held in Pennsylvania, included 222 students from 12 high schools.

The purpose of the free program was to expose students to diverse career opportunities in the accounting profession. They joined in group discussions that covered various career paths such as public accounting, forensic accounting, FBI, IRS, education, tax and financial planning and information technology and consulting.
