DUI charges

pending in stop

A 50-year-old Minersville woman is facing charges of DUI by state police at Schuylkill Haven after a traffic stop at Peacock and Line streets in Pottsville at 1:04 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said they stopped a vehicle driven by Judy L. Fetrow for driving erratically and in the opposite lane of travel and found her to be under the influence. Police said the woman displayed signs of being impaired and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.

Charges against Fetrow are pending in district court, police said.

Window smashed

on parked car

TREMONT - State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a criminal mischief incident that occurred in an area behind 103 W. Main St. between 11 p.m. Sunday and 1 p.m. Monday.

Police said Bernard Stine reported that someone used a blunt object to smash the rear window of his 2003 Toyota Tacoma while it was parked behind his home. Police said the smashed glass tore the Lorado Tonneau cover on the vehicle.

Car stolen, found

in Lykens

LYKENS - The theft of a vehicle at the corner of Pine and Main streets in this Dauphin County community about 11:55 p.m. Friday is being investigated by state police at Lykens.

Police said Carol N. Heim, Valley View, reported parking her vehicle and leaving it running with the lights on across from G&E Cafe. The woman entered the business and exited a few minutes later to find her vehicle stolen.

The vehicle was eventually found two blocks north of the business in the parking lot of Lykens United Methodist Church at Pine and North Second streets, police said.

Hazleton man

faces charges

LAVELLE - A Hazleton man was charged with harassment after he allegedly called and texted an Ashland woman in Barry Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Richard Eltringham called and texted Susan Heim between 12:48 and 4:45 p.m. Dec. 10 after being told not to.

Charges were filed with Magisterial District Justice Carol A Pankake's office in Tremont.
