BRANDONVILLE - Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers and state police at Frackville are investigating a burglary and theft that occurred at an area fire company earlier this month.
Police said the crime occurred at the Brandonville Fire Company, 10 Main Blvd., East Union Township, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Jan. 8.
It was there, police said, someone gained access to the building through the engine room and removed two each of the following items: fire helmets, bunker pants, Nomex hoods, sets of gloves, box lights and Motorola 4-way radios.
The thieves also stole a portable fire radio and an 18-inch Echo chain saw before fleeing the area undetected.
Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information on the identity of the person or persons responsible for this theft or on any unsolved crime in Schuylkill County.
Callers are asked to refer to incident 01-20-13 when calling with information about the theft of firefighting equipment from the fire company in East Union Township.
