Stink bomb
thrown into home
PORT CARBON - State police at Schuylkill Haven said someone broke a window with a brick and threw a stink bomb inside the apartment of Kelly Ginther, 117 North St., Apt. 2J, about 5:15 a.m. Friday.
Police said the building is owned by Hyman Group LLC, Pottsville. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call police at 570-593-2000.
Haven man
injured in crash
LAKE WYNONAH - An 18-year-old Schuylkill Haven man suffered minor injuries after he lost control of his vehicle in the snow and hit a tree on Summer Hill Road in South Manheim Township, at 5:49 p.m. Friday.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Michael J. Bubeck was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer east on Summer Hill Road when he lost control of the vehicle and it started to fish tale in the snow, spinning off the roadway and striking a tree and a junction box before spinning again into a nearby cemetery.
Police said Bubeck was transported to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street for minor injuries.
Police said he was wearing a seatbelt and the air bags in the vehicle did deploy. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Assisting the scene were Auburn EMS and Auburn Fire Company. Police cited Bubeck for the accident.
Reading woman
injured in crash
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - A 23-year-old Reading woman suffered minor injuries when her vehicle struck another vehicle from behind at routes 61 and 443 in North Manheim Township, at 5:23 p.m. Friday.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Sarah A. Winter was driving a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire south on Route 61 and was unable to stop her vehicle and struck a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Gary M. Stauffer, 46, of Zionsville, that was stopped at a red light.
Police said Winter was transported to Schuylkill Medical Center-East Jackson Street, Pottsville and her vehicle had to be towed from the scene. Orwigsburg EMS and Orwigsburg Fore Company were also on the scene.
