ORWIGSBURG - A West Penn Township man faces Schuylkill County Court action after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing Jan. 31 on charges he threatened and assaulted his ex-girlfriend in January in Walker Township.
Justin J. Chickilly, 30, of 15 Archery Lane, Tamaqua, is charged with terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, simple assault and harassment.
Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier bound over those charges for county court action after Chickilly waived his right to the hearing.
State police at Frackville allege Chickilly entered the 63 Fawn Lane residence of Beth Ann Williams about 8:45 p.m. Jan. 6. Police said he remained there all night without Williams' consent and forced Williams to do the same by removing some of her clothing and threatening to shoot her if she left.
Additionally, Chickilly shoved, pushed and poked Williams several times during the night, giving her an abrasion, police said. Chickilly left Williams' residence about 7:45 a.m. Jan. 7, taking a piece of her clothing with him, police said.
After waiving his right to a hearing, Chickilly returned to prison, where he is being held in lieu of 10 percent of $25,000 bail.
