SHENANDOAH - A 36-year-old Sheppton woman charged with trying to hire someone to kill two people last month had charges against her held for court during a preliminary hearing Thursday.
Jamielynn Reilly, 885 Center St., appeared before Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker on charges of solicitation to commit criminal homicide, conspiracy to commit criminal homicide, conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit burglary, conspiracy to commit criminal trespass and conspiracy to commit simple assault.
After the hearing, Reilly was returned to Schuylkill County Prison, where she is being held on $500,000 straight cash bail set at the time of her arraignment.
Chief Schuylkill County Detective Dennis Clark charged Reilly with a Feb. 19 incident in which she asked Rafael Lopez, Shenandoah, if he knew anyone who could kill Brian J. Treco and Kelly Feeko, both of Sheppton, and saying that she would pay to have it done.
"She said she needed to have someone disposed of," Lopez told the court during the 30-minute proceeding Thursday.
Lopez said he called Feeko, who is his landlord, and warned her of Reilly's intentions.
Feeko then contacted East Union Township police, who in turn called the district attorney's office and detectives set up an undercover operation.
After meeting with Lopez, Feeko and Treco, Clark said a detective spoke to Reilly posing as a hit man and arrangements were made for Lopez and the detective to pick Reilly up so she could show him where Feeko lives.
Once Reilly was picked up, the detective said she again said she wanted Treco and Feeko killed.
The detective said he asked the woman what she wanted the crime to look like and Reilly said to make the killings look like a burglary because that is what Treco and Feeko accused her of. She also said she could pay $500 up front and then additional money when the man and woman were dead.
The detective told the court that when he asked Reilly how she wanted the two killed, the woman said "just shoot them in the head or chest."
The following day, the detective said Reilly was contacted and told the murders had been committed.
"She said OK," the detective said.
