SHENANDOAH - A Ringtown man charged with threatening a woman with a knife and saying he would kill her Jan. 24 waived his right to a preliminary hearing March 6 before Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker.

Aaron Lorah, 24, of 44 Main Blvd., was arrested by West Mahanoy Township Police Patrolman Lance Monaghan and charged with one count each of simple assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and harassment. By waiving his right to a hearing, Lorah will now have to answer to all charges against him in Schuylkill County Court.

Monaghan charged Lorah in connection with a 6:20 p.m. incident at 1 Raven Run Road, where Lorah's estranged wife reported taking the man for a ride after he asked her to talk. The two began to argue when Lorah asked to see her cellphone and she refused, Monaghan said.

The woman said Lorah then placed her in a headlock but she was able to free herself and jump from the vehicle, going to the nearest home for help, Monaghan said.
