TREMONT - Two Pine Grove men charged with committing an assault in January in Frailey Township are headed to Schuylkill County Court after each waived his right to a preliminary hearing March 7.
Kyle Humphrey, 25, of 60 Carbon St., and Bradley M. Keppley, 23, of 71 Pleasant Valley Road, are each charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal trespass.
Magisterial District Judge Carol A. Pankake bound over the charges against each man for county court.
State police at Schuylkill Haven charged Humphrey and Keppley with trespassing on property and committing the assault on Jan. 21 in Frailey Township.
Humphrey and Keppley are each free on $10,000 unsecured bail pending further court proceedings.

Scott D. Aument, 49, of 158 Sweet Arrow Lake Road, Pine Grove - driving under the influence, driving under suspension-DUI related, failure to use low beam lights, driving without a license and seat belt violation; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.
Alyssa A. Burke, 29, of 518 Morea Road, Mahanoy City - DUI, disregarding traffic lane and careless driving; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.
Candice M. Erdman, 30, of 93 Ridge Road, Pitman - DUI, disregarding traffic lane and careless driving; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.
Nikki R. Leininger, 29, of 69 Spring St., Tremont - manufacture of a controlled substance; charge withdrawn.
Bryan J. Shipton, 21, of 1600 Mahantongo St., Pottsville - DUI, disregarding traffic lane, failure to drive at a safe speed, careless driving and operating vehicle without valid inspection; right to preliminary hearing waived, DUI and disregarding traffic lane charges bound over for court, other charges withdrawn.
Herbert P. Zerbe Jr., 32, of 210 Tremont Road, Pine Grove - possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving unregistered vehicle, failure to carry registration, improper display of plate/card and operating vehicle without required financial responsibility; charges withdrawn.

PORT CARBON - A 41-year-old Pottsville man charged with robbing and assaulting another man at 40 E. Bacon St. in Palo Alto on Nov. 3 had charges against him withdrawn in lieu of a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko.
Robert W. McFarland, whose last known address was 215 N. George St. was arrested by state police Trooper Vincent Laselva of the Schuylkill Haven station and charged with one count each of robbery, simple assault and harassment.
Prosecutors had to withdraw the charges after the victim and witnesses failed to show for the proceedings.
McFarland punched Porter several times in the face with a closed fist causing injuries and then left after demanding money from McFarland and getting $120, the trooper said.

Justine Lockard, 25, of 310 Biddle St., Tamaqua - waived for court: conspiracy, aiding consummation of a crime and receiving stolen property.
Joseph E. Boris, 44, of 311 Arlene St., Minersville - held for court: theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
Patrick Smith, 24, of 503 Pond St., Bristol - waived for court: theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
Justin M.
