n Pottsville: The Pottsville Area High School Key Club and organizers Corey Conville and Kaitlin McDonald have announced that the Dash For Dave, a charity race in memory of Dr. David Zanis, will be held April 7. It is a one-mile memorial fun run and walk and all proceeds from fundraising efforts will benefit area nonprofits that were important to Zanis, the Clinical Outcomes Group Inc., the Pottsville Rotary Club and the Pottsville Kiwanis Club. Race information, registration forms, sponsorship information and other information is available on Facebook by searching for "Dash for Dave," or on the Clinical Outcomes Group website at www.COGInc.org. Same-day registration will take place from 8 to 8:30 p.m. at 18th and West Market streets. The race is $18 per adult and $8 per child age 14 and younger if registered before March 15. On race day, the registration cost will be $20 per adult and $10 per child 14 and younger. T-shirts will be available to registrants while they last. Medals will be awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in each age category: 50 and over, 19 to 49 and 18 and younger. All walkers will be eligible to win prizes. n Ringtown: Jehovah's Witnesses are inviting the public to a presentation, on the anniversary of Jesus' death, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The meeting will examine what makes Jesus and his sacrifice vitally important and will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 349 Ringtown Road.
