Military award
Air Force Capt. Shaw Kreiger, a native of Weatherly a and son of Bill Kreiger, Jim Thorpe, and the late Jeanne Kreiger, was recently named Company Grade Officer of the Year. The nomination for the a-ward is bas-ed on leadership and job performance, self-improvement and community involvement.
Kreiger was selected as the outstanding performer of 2012 at both the squadron level and group level out of a competitive field of more than 400 officers. He serves as a dual-qualified combat pilot and instructor pilot.
He resides in Las Vegas, Nev., with his wife, Earlene, daughter of Earl and Michele Titus.
