MINERSVILLE - Borough police have obtained an arrest warrant for a 24-year-old Minersville man on felony drug charges.
Police said they are looking for Christopher Lee Collins, whose last known address was 2 Sunbury St., Apt. 4C.
Collins is described as white, about 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 175 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Police charged Collins with two felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance, two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
The charges, police said, stem from an incident about 1:30 p.m. March 14, when officers executed a search warrant at the apartment where Collins lived and found Collins and Josif Janceski, Pottsville.
Police said Janceski left the apartment, walked across a roof toward an alleyway and then tried to leave but he and Collins were detained by officers.
Before serving the warrant, police said both men were seen walking in an alleyway between two buildings, the same alleyway that Janceski approached while on the roof.
A check of the alleyway yielded a gray shopping bag containing a sandwich bag of suspected marijuana with smaller baggies inside as well, police said.
The substance tested positive for marijuana and was a quarter-pound in weight with a street value of about $700, police said.
Police determined Janceski threw the marijuana off the roof and onto the sidewalk as officers were arriving at the apartment with the warrant, police said.
After being read his rights, police said Collins said he was instructed by Janceski to take the bag and drop it off the roof.
Janceski was charged that day with two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and a misdemeanor offense of possession of a controlled substance.
Police said he is awaiting a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko, Port Carbon.
