Pottsville police are investigating the video of two girls fighting that was posted Sunday on Facebook.
The fight occurred at the Barefield Outdoor Recreation Complex in the city, Capt. Rick Wojciechowsky said Tuesday.
Police found out about the incident because "one of the mothers reported it Sunday night to our police officers," he said.
One of the girls is from Pottsville but Wojciechowsky did not know where the other girl is from, although police have identified her.
"The act of fighting is a disorderly conduct (charge)," he said, adding that if charges are warranted they could be filed.
Wojciechowksy did not know the exact time of the incident, although the Facebook post says a short 50-second video was posted at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
The investigation is continuing, Wojciechowsky said.
"It's a disorderly conduct incident right now," he said.
Craig Shields, CEO of Barefield Development Corp., did not return a call for comment Tuesday. Rules for the park prohibit skate boarding, bicycle riding, roller blading, scooter riding, free jumping and pets.
The incident comes after last week's bullying incident in Shenandoah that was also posted on Facebook.
In that instance, police said police have identified the victim, two suspects and six "witnesses." All those involved are all juveniles.
According to police, the victim is from Shenandoah and so are the "witnesses" and one of the suspects. The other suspect is from Minersville.
Kenneth Porter, chief juvenile probation officer with the Schuylkill County Office of Juvenile Justice, said Tuesday the office had not received anything about the bullying incident from either police department. The department gets a referral when charges are filed.
