Parole was revoked against a city man Tuesday, returning the man to prison until Aug. 2, 2014.
Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin revoked parole of Joseph A. Berardi, 34, of Pottsville, due to new charges being filed against him.
Berardi originally pleaded guilty on Sept. 1, 2011, to two separate charges of retail theft that arose on consecutive days. On Nov. 22, 2011, Dolbin sentenced him to serve six to 23 months in prison and pay costs, $100 in CJEA payments and $378 restitution.
Saint Clair police had charged Berardi with committing one theft on Nov. 25, 2010, in the borough, while state police at Schuylkill Haven charged him with committing the other theft on Nov. 26, 2010.
In other recent criminal court action, Judge James P. Goodman accepted guilty pleas from, and, pursuant to agreements between prosecutors and defendants, imposed the indicated sentences on, these people:
Daniel K. Miller, 34, of Schuylkill Haven - DUI; 72 hours to six months in prison, $1,000 fine and $100 SAEF payment. Prosecutors withdrew charges of careless driving and speeding.
Kayla L. Reinhart, 21, of Frackville - criminal mischief, theft, disorderly conduct and defiant trespass; 65 days to 18 months in prison, $150 in fines, $50 CJEA payment and $1,449.13 restitution.
Andrew D. Rumberger, 22, of Schuylkill Haven - DUI, driving under suspension and disregarding traffic lane; 48 hours to six months in prison, $725 in fines, $300 SAEF payment and $60 restitution to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street. Prosecutors withdrew charges of failure to drive at a safe speed and careless driving.
Derek R. Schlorf, 23, of Jeddo - theft; nine to 23 months in prison, $50 CJEA payment, $300 restitution and submission of a DNA sample to law enforcement authorities.
