Christina E. Hale
FRACKVILLE - A 37-year-old White Haven woman charged with assaulting a Frackville police officer who were serving a mental health warrant on Dec. 14 had charges against her held to court during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale.
Angela M. Clymer was arrested by Patrolman Christopher Hand and charged with one count each of simple assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct and three counts of harassment.
Hale determined the Commonwealth proved a prima facie case and ordered all six charges against Clymer held for Schuylkill County Court.
Hand charged Clymer after an incident at her former home at 516 Morris St. where he and Patrolman Anthony Kankowski arrived to serve the warrant on Clymer so EMS could transport her to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street for treatment.
When the woman refused to leave the home, Hand said he and Kankowski walked toward her to place her in handcuffs but the woman resisted and began to pull away.
Hand said Clymer bit him on the right forearm causing an open wound and when being brought under control by the two officers and EMS personnel, she continued to kick and try and get away.
Hand said he was treated at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street for his injury and that Clymer was eventually committed for treatment.

William M. Veach, 35, of 701 Altamont Blvd., Roadway Inn Room 11, Frackville - waived for court: simple assault and harassment.
Charles T. Bechtel, 31, of 734 Brock St., Ashland - held for court: possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, possession of firearms prohibited, use of incapacitation devices and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Thomas E. Fronczak, 43, of 115 Lower St., Morea, Mahanoy City - waived for court: DUI, driving with a suspended or revoked license, duties at a stop sign and failure to use safety belts.
