n Frackville: St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church, West Oak Street, will hold an Ash Wednesday dinner featuring baked haddock and macaroni and cheese with servings at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Feb. 22 in the parish hall. Patrons will be able to eat in the hall or take dinners out. Dinners will include salad, dessert and beverage. The cost for baked haddock will be $9 and for mac and cheese, $5. n Frackville: Elaine Mykolayko, director of the Frackville Free Public Library, North Lehigh Avenue, recently told members of the Frackville Business and Professional Association about the formation of a committee to bring fireworks back to the borough for the Fourth of July. She invited interested parties to a formation meeting set for 5 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Frackville Municipal & Community Center, Center and Oak streets.
n Harrisburg: Pennsylvania Department of Transportation driver license and photos centers will be closed Saturday through Monday in observance of Presidents' Day, according to a PennDOT press release. Customers may still obtain a variety of driver and vehicle items and services online through PennDOT's Driver and Vehicle Services website - www.dmv.state.pa.us. Driver and vehicle online services are available 24/7 and include driver's license and photo ID renewals, vehicle registration renewal, driver-history services, changes of address, driver license and vehicle registration restoration letters, and exam scheduling. There are no additional fees for using online services. A complete listing of PennDOT driver and photo license center closings in 2011 is available on the website under "News, Stats and Facts." In the release, PennDOT also reminded motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.

n Shenandoah: At a recent meeting, the Shenandoah Rotary Club introduced Shaina Graff, the January student of the month, according to a report from club Secretary Mary Ann Link. Club President Marie Poppoff gave a short presentation about the club and Graff spoke about her background, school activities and future plans. Poppoff read an email requesting that the club advertise in the Rotary District meeting booklet. She suggested the Rotarians devote a full page to deceased member Henry J. Zale, which was unanimously approved. The club acknowledged a thank-you note from Stacy Murphy of the Schuylkill Literacy Council for allowing her to speak to the Shenandoah and Ringtown Rotary clubs. Rotarian Marie Wowak said Easter flowers have been ordered and will be delivered to Ridgeview Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, 200 Pennsylvania Ave., at 5 p.m. April 3. All club members are being asked to attend to distribute the flowers. Regarding the downtown trash container program, it was noted that containers are being evaluated with refurbishment at the request of the revitalization group Downtown Shenandoah Inc.
n Shenandoah: The Shenandoah Valley Guidance Department will sponsor a junior information night for parents at 6 p.m. March 1 in the high school auditorium. The presentation will include information about senior scheduling, standardized tests, the college search process, college admissions and the application timeline, process and procedures. Options deadline with the military and workforce will also be discussed. Parents of SV juniors are "strongly urged" to attend, according to a release.
