4 escape injury
in 2-vehicle crash
MAR LIN - Four people escaped injury in a two-vehicle crash at routes 209 and 901 in Norwegian Township on Monday morning, said state police at Schuylkill Haven.
At 7:40 a.m. Monday, Jayeshkumar Patel, 31, of Philadelphia, was driving a red 2002 Toyota Corolla north on Route 901 and attempted to make a left turn onto Route 209, police said.
George Paul, 56, of Minersville, who was driving a gray 2005 Dodge Dakota, was heading south on Route 901 in the right lane and turned in front of Patel's vehicle. The passenger side front of Paul's vehicle hit the passenger side rear of Patel's, police said.
Passengers in Patel's vehicle included Jyotikaben Patel, 29, of Upper Darby, and a 2-year-old female child from Upper Darby, police said.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Branch-Reilly police and firefighters from Llewellyn assisted on scene, according to police.
