Men wore women's shoes Thursday in the Schuylkill YMCA for the second annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes video.
Shot at the YMCA in Pottsville, the men proved they had what it took to show the world their moves.
The video will be posted on YouTube "probably within the week" said Jennifer Murphy-Shifflet, president and chief executive officer of the Sexual Assault and Resource Counseling Center of Schuylkill and Lebanon counties.
The theme this year is "Foot Loose."
"We will teach them a few dance steps," Murphy-Shifflet said.
The video in 2011 was shot at different locations in the county but the decision was made to change it up this year, she said.
The international event started in 2001 and its goal is to bring attention to stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence. Last year, 100 men showed how much of a man they actually were by strutting their stuff in women's shoes in downtown Pottsville.
More than $9,000 was raised because of the effort, Murphy-Shifflet said Thursday.
Men interested in experiencing what it's like to slide their feet into high heels can call SARCC at 570-628-2965. Registration is also possible prior to the event on April 26. Shoes will be provided for a nominal cost. Shoes of differing sizes are available for men, up to size 16.
Cost to participate is $10.
