Schuylkill County prosecutors dropped charges on Friday against three defendants.

Neil M. Moyer, 36, of Pottsville, had been charged with theft by deception and bad checks. State police at Schuylkill Haven had alleged he committed those crimes on May 20, 2011.

Paul D. Hillibush, 38, and Terri L. Hillibush, 38, both of Barnesville, each had been charged with harassment.

State police at Frackville had charged the Hillibushes with committing the harassment on Feb. 23. Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville, had found each guilty on April 3, but each defendant filed an appeal on April 16.

In other recent county court action, Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin accepted guilty pleas from, and imposed the indicated sentences on, these defendants:

Jericho Linkchorst, 19, of Mount Carmel; institutional vandalism and criminal mischief; six to 23 months in prison, $50 payment to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account and $880 restitution. Prosecutors dropped charges of criminal trespass, corruption of minors and possessing instruments of crime.

Brian L. Love Sr., 33, of Millersburg; disorderly conduct; $50 fine. Prosecutors dropped a charge of defiant trespass.

Mark Macaluso, 31, of Mahanoy City; driving under the influence and stop sign violation; six months in the intermediate punishment program, $325 in fines, $100 payment to the Substance Abuse Eduction Fund and $60 restitution to Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.

Everett P. Metcalf, 38, of Girardville; possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension; 37 days to 12 months in prison, $200 fine, $100 SAEF payment, $50 CJEA payment and $113 restitution to the state police crime laboratory in Bethlehem. Prosecutors dropped charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, risking a catastrophe, misbranding or false labeling and adulterated or misbranded controlled substance.

Robert C. Miller, 35, of Tower City; bad checks; 12 months probation, $50 CJEA payment and $655.99 restitution.

All defendants who were sentenced must pay costs as a part of their sentences.
