A Lebanon County man returned to prison Wednesday after admitting in Schuylkill County Court he burglarized a Pottsville home and harassed a woman on the same day last September.

Kyle R. Long, 24, of Lebanon, must spend nine to 23 months in prison, pay costs, $300 in fines and $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, submit a DNA sample to law enforcement officials and have no contact with his victims under the terms of Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin's sentence.

Long pleaded guilty to burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property, harassment and defiant trespass, with the latter two charges stemming from a second case. As part of their plea agreement with Long, prosecutors dropped additional burglary and criminal trespass charges, along with ones of loitering and prowling at nighttime and disorderly conduct.

Pottsville police charged Long with breaking into the house at 430 Harrison St. on Sept. 28 to steal alcohol and prescription bottles.

"Do you realize burglary is a first-degree felony?" Dolbin asked Long.

"Yes," the defendant said.

In the second case, Pottsville police charged Long with harassing a woman on the same day he committed the burglary.

Dolbin warned Long, who wore a prison jumpsuit during Wednesday's hearing, not to try to contact any of the victims of either set of crimes.

"No contact means zero, no texting, no letters," Dolbin said.
