MINERSVILLE - The Minersville Area school board approved its 2012-13 tentative general fund budget Thursday in the amount of $16,090,870.
The proposed budget holds all current taxes at the same level for the fifth year in a row.
Superintendent M. Joseph Brady added that there's no forced layoffs, cuts in instructional programs or athletic fees imposed on athletes.
"All the other things remain as they have been," Brady said.
The school district will continue enforcing the following taxes: School Code at $5 per capita; Act 511 at $5 per capita; $52 LST Tax, formerly EMS; $180 Occupation Tax; 1 percent Realty Transfer; and 1/2 percent Earned Income Tax.
The 2012-13 tentative athlete fund budget was also approved in the amount of $135,055.
In other business, Kenton Martin was appointed as the head volleyball coach at a starting salary of $1,600.
