MINERSVILLE - A show highlighting all genres of music will be held Wednesday to benefit the Minersville Public Library.
Including Broadway, country, Christian, cabaret-type songs and more, "Cabaret for a Cause" will be held from 7 p.m. in the auditorium at Minersville Area High School.
The show will run until about 9 p.m.
"There were so many cuts over the past few years and I try to do what I can to raise a few dollars for the library," said Mary Grigalonis, director of the library. "I thought this might spike interest for a variety of ages."
Among the performers, the show will feature local singers including Jenna McBreen, Reiley Lonergan, Julia Schultz, Jacob Tarconish, Charles Tamburelli, Mark Mahal, Leilani Chesonis and Kailyn Fitzpatrick, among others.
There will also be performances by the Minersville Theatre Association, the Minersville Jazz Band, Lil' Bits of Broadway program, and young dancers and gymnastic routines.
Further stating that the show will be for all ages, Grigalonis said it will have performers from age 5 to 65.
"We're going to have some great entertainers," she said. "There will even be a special appearance by Alvin and the Chipmunks."
There will also be a raffle for $50 worth of lottery tickets.
Tickets for the show are $10 and available at the Minersville Public Library, 220 S. Fourth St., while tickets will also be available at the door the night of the event.
Children 8 and under are free.
