Results released from checkpoints
The North Central PA Regional DUI Enforcement Program has released the results of three enforcement details conducted earlier this month.
On Sept. 6, three officers from three departments conducted a roving DUI patrol that contacted and detained 20 vehicles and had two drivers tested for DUI.
There were two DUI arrests made along with two arrests for underage drinking, 13 traffic arrests, three criminal arrests and four warning notices issued.
On Sept. 14, 13 officers from eight departments conducted a DUI checkpoint in West Penn Township that contacted 586 vehicles, detained 38 and had two drivers tested for DUI.
There were no arrests for DUI or underage drinking but the officers did make 25 traffic arrests, one criminal arrest and issued 10 warning notices.
The following day, on Sept. 15, 12 officers from seven departments conducted a DUI checkpoint in Schuylkill Haven that contacted 871 vehicles, detained 46 and had six drivers tested for DUI.
There were two DUI arrests made along with four arrests for underage drinking, 21 traffic arrests, four criminal arrests, issued one seat belt citation and 15 warning notices.
