Utility pole struck in crash
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Second Mountain Road, about half a mile east of Manheim Road, North Manheim Township, at 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police said the driver of the blue vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Blazer, lost control while on the snow-covered roadway and struck a utility pole on the south berm. Police said the pole broke off near the top and fell onto the roadway, pulling down wires that blocked the road.
