Carol A. Pankake

TREMONT - A 36-year-old Minersville woman charged with stealing from the Blue Tavern in Branch Township where she was employed failed to show for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Carol A. Pankake.

State police Trooper Bernard Walasavage of the Schuylkill Haven station charged Amber M. Gunderman, 345 New Castle St. with five misdemeanor counts each of theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception and forgery.

Pankake ordered that all charges be held for Schuylkill County Court and asked that a warrant be issued for the woman's arrest.

Walasavage said Gunderman stole $77 in cash and $45.84 in food items by entering unauthorized monetary amounts for tips on credit card receipts including $20 each from two people, $10 from another and finally $27 from a fourth.

The woman is also charged with stealing two cans of Sea Delight crab meat valued at $17.42 each and a seafood casserole and dish valued at $11.

Other court cases included: Allen E. Hubler, 52, of 282 Tremont Road, Pine Grove - waived for court: DUI, disorderly conduct, disregard for single traffic lane and careless driving.

Justin R. Underkoffler, 24, of 120 Maple Lane, Apt. 10, Williamstown - withdrawn: forgery and identity theft. Waived for court: theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and access device issued to another person.

William C. Salen, 20, of 303 W. Laurel St., Tremont - withdrawn: recklessly endangering another person. Moved to a non-traffic citation: harassment.
