Pottsville police arrested a city woman Friday in connection with selling crack cocaine and marijuana out of her apartment, police said Monday.
Meanwhile, police put a warrant out for the arrest of a young man from Pottsville who was tied to the operation, police said.
After receiving information from concerned citizens about possible drug activity inside an apartment, B-22, police investigated. On Friday, police seized crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $900, marijuana with an estimated street value of $1,000 and a digital scale and several hundred packaging materials, police said.
Police charged Tabitha St. Pierre, 20, who resided at Market Square Apartments in Pottsville, with two counts each of possession of controlled substances, intent to deliver controlled substances and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
She was arraigned before on-duty Magisteiral District Judge Stephen J. Bayer, Tamaqua, and placed in Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $25,000 percentage bail, police said.
Police also obtained an arrest warrant for Shane Hibbler, 20, of 403 W. Arch St., who conspired with St. Pierre to possess and sell the drugs, police said.
Anyone with information about Hibbler's whereabouts is asked to contact city police at 622-1234 ext. 150. All callers will remain confidential, police said.
"Anonymous information is accepted but callback information is of greater use and will be kept strictly confidential," said city police Capt. Richard Wojciechowsky.
