A day after temperatures reached as high as 54 degrees, the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory Tuesday night that remained in effect until 11 a.m. this morning.
The NWS at State College said there was a chance of snow late Tuesday evening with a chance of sleet and freezing rain after midnight. The forecast called for snow accumulations from 1 to 3 inches with temperatures in the upper 20s.
Freezing rain and sleet was expected to continue this morning with about another inch of snow possible in the afternoon. Today's temperatures were expected to be in the mid-30s, dropping into the upper 20s tonight with partly cloudy skies.
