A Pine Grove man returned to prison Jan. 21 after a Schuylkill County judge revoked his parole.

Shane M. Frey, 22, of Pine Grove, will stay in prison until July 22, the end of his original sentence, unless he can gain entry into an inpatient treatment facility, Judge John E. Domalakes ruled.

"I'm quite disappointed in you," Domalakes told Frey, who sat through the hearing in handcuffs and a prison jumpsuit.

Frey admitted violating his parole by not completing his substance abuse treatment and not performing his 25 hours of community service.

Frey originally pleaded guilty on March 3, 2011, to delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and corruption of minors. On May 5, 2011, Domalakes sentenced him to serve 23 days to 23 months in prison, spend an additional 18 months on probation, pay costs and a payment of $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account, and perform 25 hours community service.

Pottsville police had charged Frey with delivering drugs on Aug. 17, 2010, in the city.

Also on Jan. 21, Domalakes revoked the probation of Brian R. Kehl, 29, of Lansford, after the defendant admitted violating its terms.

Domalakes ordered Kehl to spend 18 more months on probation consecutive to his current sentence and undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation.

Kehl pleaded guilty on Aug. 17, 2011, to retail theft, with prosecutors withdrawing a charge of receiving stolen property. At that time, Domalakes placed him on probation for 18 months and also sentenced him to pay costs, a $50 CJEA payment and $26.16 restitution, amounts he still must pay under the terms of Monday's sentence.

Rush Township police had charged Kehl with committing the theft on Feb. 12, 2011, in the township.

In another case, Domalakes revoked the parole of Michael Sleva, 31, of Saint Clair, and returned him to prison until Aug. 25, with no possible parole except to a rehabilitation facility.

Sleva, who admitted violating the terms of his parole, originally pleaded guilty on Dec. 1, 2011, to retail theft. Domalakes sentenced him May 1 to spend 12 months on probation and pay costs and a $50 CJEA payment.

Domalakes revoked his probation on Sept. 27 and sentenced him to two to 12 months in prison.

Saint Clair police had charged Sleva with committing the theft on Oct. 2, 2010, in the borough.

Domalakes also revoked the probation of Robert B. Bowers III, 25, of Pottsville, and sentenced him to 45 days to 18 months in prison with immediate parole, plus a drug and alcohol evaluation.

Bowers, who admitted violating the terms of his probation, originally pleaded guilty on June 22, 2011, to simple assault, with prosecutors withdrawing a charge of harassment. Domalakes placed Bowers on probation for 18 months and also sentenced him to pay costs, a $50 CJEA payment and $2,486.25 restitution, amounts he still must pay under the terms of Monday's sentence.

Port Carbon police had charged Bowers with committing the assault on Oct. 5, 2010, in the borough.
