SHENANDOAH - Defendants whose cases Magisterial District Judge Anthony J. Kilker considered, the charges against each and the judge's dispositions of the matters included:

Byron K. Becker, 33, of 20 N. Union St., Shenandoah - withdrawn: theft by deception, theft by unlawful taking and retail theft.

John L. Tejeda, 22, of 232 W. Oak St., Shenandoah - held for court: DUI, DUI-controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, disregard for single traffic lane and driving a vehicle without a valid inspection.

William Rodriguez Jr., 31, of 1018 E. Mahanoy Ave., Mahanoy City - dismissed: simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment.

Alicia M. Rivera, 27, of 220 Somerset St., Freemansburg - waived for court: possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, contraband-controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jude Makowiec Jr., 25, of 532 E. Centre St., Mahanoy City - withdrawn: possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct. Waived for court: disorderly conduct.

Raymond C. Hower, 23, of 1400 E. Centre St., Mahanoy City - waived for court: theft by unlawful taking, loitering and prowling at night, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, receiving stolen property and recklessly endangering another person.

ORWIGSBURG - An Orwigsburg man must appear in Schuylkill County Court after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday on charges that he helped steal a sport utility vehicle from a Schuylkill Haven business.

Thomas J. Matukewicz, 34, of 626 N. Warren St., faces two counts of conspiracy and one each of theft and receiving stolen property. Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier bound over all charges for the county court after Matukewicz waived his right to the hearing.

Schuylkill Haven borough police charged Matukewicz with helping to take a gold 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer from Zone Aire Inc., 121 St. John St., about 8:30 a.m. Feb. 26.

Police said Matukewicz admitted he used his maroon Jeep Cherokee to tow the SUV to Orwigsburg. The SUV was found in the 600 block of North Warren Street with a tow strap between it and the Jeep, police said.

Matukewicz is free on $10,000 unsecured bail pending further court action.

Other defendants whose cases Ferrier considered on Tuesday, the charges against each one and he judge's dispositions of the matters included:

Richard L. Alderman, 19, of 28 Phoenix Park Road, Llewellyn - harassment and disorderly conduct; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Susan A. Bollinger, 45, of 400 Greenwood St., Pottsville - aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment; charges withdrawn.

Christina M. Kowalski, 45, of 106 Spruce St., Cressona - driving under the influence, illegal parking in intersection and careless driving; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Benjamin A. Lincoln, 23, of 2193 S. Queen St., York - DUI, disregarding traffic lane, failure to drive at a safe speed, careless driving and giving false information; right to preliminary hearing waived, DUI and failure to drive at a safe speed charges bound over for court, other charges withdrawn.

Benjamin L. Neidlinger, 20, of 616 E. Union St., Schuylkill Haven - conspiracy and theft; right to preliminary hearing waived, charges bound over for court.

Jeffrey D. Roberts, 19, of 629 Lee St., Orwigsburg - two counts each of theft and receiving stolen property and one each of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving without a license and DUI; right to preliminary hearing waived, theft and receiving stolen property charges withdrawn, other charges bound over for court.
