James K. Reiley
A 24-year-old Pottsville man charged with stalking and harassing his ex-girlfriend last month waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge James K. Reiley, Pottsville.
Michael P. Twigg Jr., 430 Harrison St., was arrested by Pottsville police Patrolman Charles Webber and charged with one count each of harassment, stalking and defiant trespass. By waiving his right to a hearing, Twigg will have to answer to all three charges in Schuylkill County Court.
Webber charged Trigg with 11 text and voicemail messages to Michelle Weiss during the early morning hours of March 31, some of which said he was looking for her and "there will be blood tonight." Twigg also was seen in a vehicle that drove onto the property where Weiss lived despite being served a prior notice for trespass in 2010.
When questioned, Webber said the man admitted leaving the text and voicemail messages but said he didn't think they were threatening but agreed to the sheer volume. Twigg also admitted knowing he was not allowed on the property based on the prior trespass order, Webber said.

ORWIGSBURG - An East Brunswick Township man faces Schuylkill County Court action after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing on Wednesday on a charge that he possessed marijuana in March in New Ringgold.
Harry J. Zaprazny, 42, of 2435 Summer Valley Road, New Ringgold, is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana. Magisterial District Judge James R. Ferrier bound over that charge for court after Zaprazny decided to forego a hearing.

Police said Zaprazny had the marijuana in a baggie.
According to police, they field-tested the substance in the baggie, and it tested positive for marijuana.
