n Ashland: Overeaters Anonymous and the Al-Anon Family Group meet on Mondays at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, rear entrance, 35 N. Ninth St. The former group meets from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. and the latter, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

n Barnesville: Members of the Rush, Ryan and Delano Senior Citizens Inc. meet the second and fourth Mondays of the month at the Ryan Township Fire Company. New members are welcome.

n Conyngham: Ferrwood Music Camp, founded in the 1960s by the Rev. Joseph J. Ferrara, is accepting applications for the fast-approaching summer. The Hazleton Philharmonic Society camp this year will run from July 8 to 13 and July 15 to 20. Instruction will be offered on several instruments and include voice. The camp's music director is Mark R. Reinhart. "The rounded curriculum fosters an appreciation for both simple and advance musical concepts and balances out individual performance with ensemble performance," according to a press release. Old-fashioned summer fun activities also are incorporated into the camp. For more information about fees or to register, call the philharmonic office at 570-455-2188. n Orwigsburg: The Blue Mountain School District will hold a public meeting at 7:30 p.m . May 15 in the Elementary East gymnasium to discuss the budget for the 2012-13 school year. The public is encouraged to attend, according to a district press release. Questions prior to the meeting should be addressed to the superintendent's office at 366-0515, ext. 1022.

n Ringtown: The Ringtown Area Library recently acknowledged the following memorial and honorary contributions: For John A. "Bov" Bova from Mom and Dad; for James S. Stauffer from Mark and Wally Maliniak, Nathan and Audra Kufro, Stauffer's Coffee Club, Jim and Jody Wasser, Anthony and Rosemary Tambasco, Anthony Tambasco Jr., Kay and Charlie Lex, Shawn and Megan Lex and sons, Jason and Katie Lex and son; for Shirley Hart from Thomas and Sara Jane Grow, Rita Shoup, Jim and Jody Wasser.

n Saint Clair: St. Michael The Archangel Orthodox Church will host a Mother's Day dinner buffet starting at noon May 13 at the church, 110 N. Morris St. The cost is $15 for adults and $6 for children. The menu includes breaded pork chops, roasted chicken, halupkie, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable, rolls, coffee or tea and dessert. n Saint Clair: A hike to Wolf Creek Falls is set for 1 p.m. Thursday, led by the park naturalist from Tuscarora State Park. Participants will meet at the northern end of the Wal-Mart parking lot off Route 51 at the Coal Creek Commerce Center. The five-mile, "difficult" hike will go up the mountain to the falls and beyond to the reservoir, according to a release from Robin Tracey, environmental education specialist. The trek is dog friendly, but all pets must be leashed and get along well with people and other pets. Registration is required by contacting Tracey at 570-467-2506 or registering online at dcnr.state.pa.us under the calendar of events. The hike will be canceled in the event of inclement weather.

n Shenandoah: The Shenandoah Area Free Public Library takes memorials in memory of or in honor of loved ones or friends. They are available at the library, which is located in the municipal complex at Washington and Main streets, and at local funeral homes. n Tamaqua: The Tamaqua Historical Society Museum, 118 W. Broad St., is open to the public from 7 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday. People are welcome to browse the museum's collection of local historical artifacts and other items. To tour the museum at other times, appointments must be arranged.
